Nutrition therapy plays an important role in critically ill patients with multiple organ disorders. As per the ESPEN guidelines, enteral nutrition is considered for hemodynamically stable patients in the intensive care unit. Malnutrition is the underline problem for co-morbidities in critically ill patients. Specialised nutrition plays an important role in multiple organ disorders. Patients with hepatic and renal disorder should attempt to optimize oral intake and prevent or treat malnutrition. Provision of increased oral nutrition to patients for the dietary management of renal patients and hepatic patients, to improve clinical outcomes, and reduce complications of the drug treatment.
