Ingredients | Quantity |
Low Protein Flour | 125 g |
Water | 75 ml |
Cumin/jeera | 1 tsp |
Curry leaves | 6-8 |
Red chili powder | 2-3 tsp |
Ghee | ½ tsp |
Salt to taste |
Method:
- In a large mixing bowl take Low protein flour, jeera, red chili powder, salt and curry leaves
- Mix so that everything is combined well
- Add 2-4 tbsp of hot oil and mix well
- Gradually add the water and knead to form a workable dough (do not rest the dough)
- Shape the dough into a small ball and roll it to make thin round roti
- Heat 1/4th tsp of ghee in a griddle or skillet over medium heat
- Place the roti in the ghee and fry about 10 to 15 seconds. Flip the roti over and fry
- Masala roti is ready to be served
