Low Protein Flour | 125 g |
Water | 75 ml |
Cumin | ½ tsp |
Curry leaves | 6-8 |
Red chili powder | 2-3 tsp |
Hot oil | 2-4 tsp |
Salt to taste | |
Oil for deep frying |
Method:
- To a bowl add Low Protein Flour, jeera, red chili powder, salt and curry leaves
- Mix well to combine
- Add 2-4 tbsp of hot oil over the flour
- Add water little by little and knead to make a soft but stiff dough
- Divide the dough into 2-3 equal parts, make into balls, and roll out each ball like a slightly thick paratha
- With the help of a cookie cutter or the lid of a bottle, cut into round shapes
- Heat oil and deep fry the nippatus, on a medium flame till they turn golden brown and crisp
- Drain off on to a kitchen paper to remove excess oil
- Serve with chutney, or plain
