Ingredients Quantity
Low Protein Flour 125 g
Water 75 ml
Cumin/jeera 1 tsp
Curry leaves 6-8
Red chili powder 2-3 tsp
Hot oil 2-3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

 

Method:

  • In a bowl take Low Protein Flour, jeera, red chili powder, salt and curry leaves
  • Pour 2-4 tbsp of hot oil and mix well, adding hot oil is important to get crispy rings
  • Add water little by little and prepare a soft but stiff dough
  • Take a small marble-sized ball of dough and roll it using palms, next bring the edges together, seal it and make a ring
  • Heat the oil and deep fry the rings in batches on a medium flame till golden brown and crisp
  • Drain off on to a kitchen paper to remove excess oil and serve
