Ingredients | Quantity |
Low Protein Flour | 125 g |
Water | 75 ml |
Cumin/jeera | ½ tsp |
Curry leaves | 6-8 |
Chili powder | 2-3 tsp |
Hot oil | 2-3 tbsp |
Salt to taste | |
Oil for deep frying |
Method:
- To a bowl add Low protein Flour, jeera, red chili powder, salt and curry leaves
- Mix well to combine
- Add 2-4 tbsp of hot oil and mix well
- Add water little by little and knead into a smooth and stiff dough
- Pinch off a portion of the dough and roll into a thin disc or circle
- Using a sharp knife, make lines horizontally and vertically into diamond shapes
- Separate each piece and arrange it side by side on a kitchen paper or a plate
- Heat a pan with oil and when hot add the pieces in a single layer
- Deep fry over medium low flame till golden brown. Drain excess oil on a kitchen paper and serve
